From our paddock to your truck
Grown here
Rhodes grass, oaten and barley hay, grown on our own ground.
Made right
Cut with a mower conditioner and cured in the paddock before it’s baled.
Tested every lot
Feed Central quality certificates for every lot, so you know what you’re feeding.
Easy to load
Direct B-double and road train access, with a good turning circle.
The crew
Meet the team
Gerard
Farm Manager
Gerard runs the farm day to day. He’s all about growing premium hay and getting to know the horse owners and cattle producers who rely on it. After good hay, or keen to talk farming? He’s your man.
Annie
Head of Culture
Our kelpie and Senior Hay Consultant. Annie goes wherever Gerard goes, usually in the back of the ute or keeping watch for shed cats. Always up for a pat.
Tinkerbell
Head of Farm Biosecurity
Tinkerbell patrols the sheds and keeps the mice away from the hay. She’s small, but she takes her job mighty seriously. Gerard’s wife and kids gave her the name, and it stuck.
Toowoomba Hay Farm is owned and operated by Tim and Megan Ford and family. We’ve been growing hay in the Charlton Valley for over 20 years.
Our hay starts in our own paddocks. We cut it, cure it, bale it and store it ourselves, in our fully enclosed shed at Oakey.
The Fords also own and operate Feed Central. Wherever possible Toowoomba Hay Farm supplies product made on our farm near Toowoomba (45 Oakey Biddeston Road, Oakey). When seasonal conditions do not allow us to stock our own hay we will source product through Feed Central’s national supply network.
Got one horse or a road train to fill? Small or large orders, we’ll load you up.
